Beginner Level - is the level you are at when you start your specific training to listen to real French (which could be done at any level of your studies). It is preferable that this important exercise of listening be done at the very beginning of your studies of French in order for you to be able to understand French fast and easily, and gain confidence in speaking the French language as soon as possible. This level is not Basic, it is Beginner. For some, beginner Level means the study of grammar or of a few basic sentences. In that case, they should start with the - SmartFrench Introduction to French, Vol.1 and Vol.2 -. The best is to study both sides simultaneously, understanding (with this cdrom) and speaking (with the introduction to French). The CDROM contains all three levels and some extras, as well as the videos of the interviews on which the lessons are based (to see people when they speak always helps and it s fun.)
